Most definitely NOT a 1930 Ford. It is clearly stated that the movie was shot in 1926. I think the car is an Essex, a 1927 model Super Six - the 1926 model still had the squared body like the 1924-5. -- Last edit: 2013-01-21 03:06:30 |

I have been back for a closer look at this one. Two distinctive features; it has cowl lamps and it has 10 spoke wheels. A close look in the movie as the front wheel is mounted proves this. This makes it a 1929 model so the movie must have been made no earlier than late 1928. The 1928 Essexes have cowl lamps but have 12 spoke wheels. The 1927 Essex had the lamps at the base of the windshield |
