Eagle Model 10. This one was formerly run by Trailways from all indications. These were manufactured in Brownsville TX by Eagle Manufacturing, owned by Trailways Bus lines, sometimes referred to as American Eagles since they originally had been built in Belgium and imported to the US. The early Eagles, 01's and 05's were built in Belgium, had GM Detroit V8-71's - which were shipped there to be installed - then were shipped to Brownsville WITHOUT tires so they could arrive as freight not vehicles to save taxes. The tires were installed at Brownsville and the busses prepped there for use. Models like this 10 were built right there later. dr. g. |
