This bus has Ikarus chassis or body elements - the grill shape, bumper, front window... are from Ikarus 200-series. But I've never seen original Ikarus with this... "lovely", "aerodynamic" roof. -- Last edit: 2006-10-02 22:12:29 |

Same style, hear: /vehicle_57026-Unknown.html Giron assembled Ikarus busses in Cuba - this could be based on one of them. -- Last edit: 2006-10-01 16:24:15 |

But Giron buses don't were based on LAZ(Lvovskij Avtobusije Zavod=Lvov's Bus Factory)Russian-made buses??? |

Maybe Giron produced also LAZ busses (or with LAZ chassis), I don't know. I know that Giron for sure produced or assembled Ikaruses, f.e. Ikarus 280 was kown in Cuba as Giron XVI. Maybe bus from the picture has chasis from the LAZ and body details from the Ikarus (if it is a Giron or other bus from Cuba ![]() -- Last edit: 2006-10-02 22:09:53 |

I was looking for manufacturer in Cuba for my essay and my research turned up this: The link supplied by Jale is a dead link. However, I found this Polish Wikipedia site containing information and its source. Looks like they built these buses based on whatever they have on their hand ![]() pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gir%C3%B3n_(autobus) Probably from the original text at: Link to "www.bus-planet.com" |
