1951 Commander, by the trim. I think i see a blurry V8 badge on the trunk. |

Would like to see this one less blurry as there are aspects that make me think it might be a '50. The fender ornaments appear to be too long to be the '51 style as does the hood ornament but both could be distorted by the movement. That could be a V-8 emblem on the trunk but we can't be certain. The rear window appears to be one-piece that would support 1951. Both years used similar vertical taillamps but again blurriness distorts them. Any better shot? Being a sedan and having chromed gravel shields rules out Champion and the car appears to have the rear door vents, making it a Commander Land Cruiser. (The only '50/'51 Champions that had bright shields were convertibles.) For now, will call this a '50 as the first of two possible years. -- Last edit: 2013-02-03 19:31:14 |

Watched the movie on line. Car does in fact have a V-8 trunklid emblem, '51 style trunk handle and a one-piece rear window. Changing to 1951. |

Here's another view showing the distinctive 1951 trunk lid handle: http://img836.imageshack.us/img836/7136/1951l.jpg It also confirms a one-piece rear window. The bumper guards are too tall to be 1950 units as well. -- Last edit: 2013-03-02 16:15:56 |

champions also have 1 back windows sometimes, it is the V8 logo (and trim) that counts -- Last edit: 2022-04-01 16:31:11 |

True. My rear window reference had to to with the year, not the series. |
