I could see it was a 1939 or 1940 upper level GM model but not sure which. A bit of time researching interior pics found this - http://www.motorera.com/lasalle/1940.htm Looking at the other LaSalles on the site I find it odd that it has been found necessary to use the body style as the model name when with all other makes it has not. LaSalles were defined by Series - much as Buicks were. In 1940 there were two series; 50 and 52. I am not yet sure which this one is. -- Last edit: 2013-02-15 22:54:15 |

^You can tell by the tail lights. The standard Series 50 models use free standing units. Whereas the Special Series 52 models use the ones seen above. |
