Doesn't look like a real Bugatti to me... |

... as it loks like made of plastic + strangely forward angled horseshoe grille, or does it come from distorsion ? -- Last edit: 2013-03-06 20:48:28 |

All proportions are wrong, the front suspension doesn't look Bugatti-like and it is LHD... |

All Bugattis with the exception of those built recently feature right hand drive. This looks like it has Ford genes in it somewhere, but I only guess. -- Last edit: 2013-03-06 21:06:51 |

Yes definitely looks to be based on a mix of Volkswagen and Ford Model A bits. -- Last edit: 2013-03-07 07:57:39 |

I think it should be listed as a Bugatti Replica because the one thing it most definitely is not, is a Bugatti. |

Is it the replica of a precise model? Or just of "a Bugatti"? |

Difficult to work out - has odd mix of racing features (scuttle and windscreen, possibly wheels) with road car (wings, running board, rear body, no louvres on bonnet). And the wheels look too big. If there is a genuine inspiration, it may be a particular car with individual bodywork more than a Type, although big wheels may point to something Type 59-ish. |

The wheels are Ford Model A - 19" from 1930 or 1931. The front suspension is Volkswagen and I assume the rest of the mechanicals are also VW. |

If there are a lot of VW parts, at least it fits with the current Bugatti models |

With apologies to NZCN, with whom I rarely disagree, but.... The definition of "replica" in my Dictionary, (Collins 2004) is: - "an exact copy or reproduction, especially on a smaller scale". This is not an exact copy of any known Bugatti, the steering wheel is on the wrong side for it to be that, the front suspension is wrong, and the whole thing is completely out of sympathy with Bugatti's elegant and jewel-like designs. It does not appear to be an exact copy of anything else, either. If we are going to become a collection of information to which people can refer with some hope of arriving at a correct answer, this thing cannot be described as a Bugatti Replica, it isn't one. -- Last edit: 2013-03-08 17:10:53 |

I don't think so. The back is too short for the VW back engine. There are some (terrible) VW-based wannabe-Bugattis from the 70ies, but this isn't one. I also doubt, that you can mount Ford A-wheels on a VW Typ1-axle. |

Just a look-alike then |
