Maybe it's a DeVille? I don't know if there were other sedan versions of the Series 62. |

I'm still trying to find out the model of the '67 Caddy hardtop sedan in "That Girl." /vehicle_515807-Cadillac-1967.html |

It could be a Series 62 (hardtop sedan) or Series 62 Sedan De Ville, both had the same chassis code [6239]. The Sedan De Ville was sold almost twice as many. |

Once the Sedan DeVille was more common, it should be listed as such? -- Last edit: 2013-03-13 00:47:39 |

I'm not really in favor of labeling a car as being a certain model just because it is "more common". I would rather see "1958 Cadillac unknown" or simply "1958 Cadillac", personally. My 2 cents. |

But it can be titled Series 62 from ^^^?? |

OK. |

Who keeps changing this back to just 1958 Cadillac when Series 62 [6239] has been identified and agreed? Any particular reason? |

There is no way to determine if this is a Series 62 Sedan [6239], Series 62 Extended Deck, [6239E] or Sedan DeVille [6239EDX]. |

... but it's still valid as a Series 62 [6239], along with all the others which are described as such. And a lot more useful than just "1958 Cadillac" which consigns it into a dark limbo of anonymity without any hope of further attention or recognition. |

^The only 58 Cadillac listed as [6239] is the one example that has been agreed upon as the short deck model. Call it a Series 62 if you must; though I firmly believe it should be left blank rather then guessing. Personally I suspect this is a Sedan DeVille as it might have the chrome trim on the lower part of conical projectile flares, as opposed to the molding on the Series 62. -- Last edit: 2013-03-18 02:35:36 |

Is that an ID? Go for it! |
