And next to the Beetle: a BMW 700 (rear mounted air-cooled flattwin; body designed by Michelotti). |

I just noticed that for a lot of the VWs we have model as limousine. I know that 'limousine' is the german word for 'sedan' but shouldn't these really be listed as model or type number? -- Last edit: 2007-03-08 20:24:25 |

I believe that at some time they used that name rather than the number as model? |

OK. It seems that we are not consistent with VW. We have models for the type 1 VW that include: blank, limousine, beetle, kafer, 1200, cabrolet, convertible and baja bug. I don't think that 'beetle' and certainly not 'baja bug' was ever a model name for VW. We have both Limousine and 1200 as model for the same years type 1 cars. I give up ![]() |

Baja Bug was a name given to these modified Beetle, so I guess that we can keep it. Maybe between quotes. Beetle naming seems quite complicated, I am not sure that it is a good idea to try to solve that ![]() |

I agree. Now that I have looked more closely, I certainly don't want to try it. ![]() -- Last edit: 2007-03-08 22:22:39 |
