Many US Cars appeared behnd the iron curtain, especially in the 50ies, up to the 70ies. Not in the DDR (although there ran a few, too), but if you check all the COMECON-made movies here, especially those from Bulgaria and Romania, you'll see a lot of US-cars. A propos Western cars in the Eastern Block: in the actual "Oldtimer Markt" there's a very interesting story about one Porsche 911 turbo, which runs in the DDR since 1977, and about the tricks, how the owner could get it.
