There are about 5 of these cars in the chase, and they all get destroyed.

 I thought two got smashed, one by a truck, and the other in traffic, but the second stopped in time and wasnt seen again in the chase?

You are right, Silverstone, there are 3 Mercedes in the chase, two get smashed and the last one disappears misteriously before the tunnel chase.
