 Could it be possible that the Austin de Luxe was the only Authi's ADO16 that had that kind of rear badging?

 Very possible - I can't think of another ADO16 with that style - but I'm not expert on Authi detail, and have no rear views of Austin de Luxe to check. It does look a Mk3, which would allow the de luxe.
