This is a Ford Cabriolet ,but of 1933 : 1933 Fords can be distinguished from 1934 cars by their slightly forward curved inclined hood louvres , whereas the hood louvres on the 1934 cars were straight inclined. The grille is thinner than on the 1934 cars and it has the 1933 V8 logo and hubcaps. Not visible here , 1933 cars had one hood handle at each side ot the hood , whereas 1934 cars had two.In general 1933 cars are rarer nowadays.Exact designation is Ford Model 40 Cabriolet 1933. |

Otis driving his first car. The cabriolet had convertible tops, and roadsters didn't. |

No, both have convertible (i.e., folding) tops. Cabriolet has roll-up windows - roadster has side curtains. -- Last edit: 2020-02-05 06:21:07 |
