9C1 wasn't for 1980-85 Caprice. During that time 9C1 was for Impala and Malibu. The 9C1 didn't appear on the Caprice until 1986. |

This is not a Caprice, but a 1982 Impala F41 of the LAPD. |

1981-1985...but has the black painted 'B' pillar that these LAPD era Impalas had. -- Last edit: 2009-10-12 00:39:39 |

Nonetheless it's not LAPD as the decal placement on the doors is all wrong. |

Ah! Thanks for clearing that up for me. BTW, do you know of any sites with pictures of authentic 1980's LAPD cars? Trying to find them for source material for my drawings, but it seems damn near impossible to find them! |

Sorry, I couldn't tell you since I don't know. But just base them off the Caprices and update the front/rear fascia. The paint job or decal placement didn't change throughout the 80's. |

10-4 good buddy! Here's a post of one of my EARLY Impala drawings...you might not like it, but it was as close as I could get to accuracy! http://www.flickr.com/photos/38131534@N03/3754500447/ I'll do some new ones sometime in the near future! -- Last edit: 2009-10-12 02:35:25 |

Hey, you have to start somewhere. You do some great work now, though. Keep it up! |
