According to the following contemporary article, it is one of 100 1973 Chevrolet Bel Airs outfitted with special 5-mph bumpers which apparently were even more effective than the ones that went into production. Link to "news.google.com" It would be really interesting to find one of these cars, but they either were run into the ground as most taxis were, or returned to GM. |
