This is a Minerva Land-Rover 80" Series I (1952-54). These vehicles were made almost exclusively for the Belgian Army by Minerva based on CKD kits supplied by Land-Rover between 1952 and 1956. This fire engine might be a factory made version (like the Land-Rover equivalent). This would be extremely rare and actually a proof that such versions existed. Very interesting! |

And for those that haven't seen it yet: http://forum.imcdb.org/forum_topic-1023-Minerva_4x4.html But should it really listed as "Minerva Land-Rover" and not just as "Minerva"? |

Minerva-Land Rover is correct, because the vehicles were licence-made from LR patents. In Belgium they were familiar known as Minerva TT (= Tout Terrain). The Fire Brigade Minerva was a 80inch from the Belgian Forces, modified for this purpose and used as '1st intervention' vehicle at the air force bases (sixties).
