This one is a Bristol Lodekka FLF with Eastern Coachworks body - the other is also a Lodekka, but it's the FS variant. ****WRONG**** see next comment Lodekka types: 1954-9 LD. There were a very few LDS (short) and LDL built, then in the 1960s there were four variants: FS (Short rear entrance) and FSF (Short Front entrance), FL (Long, rear entrance - very rare) and FLF (Long, front entrance) -- Last edit: 2006-10-19 23:49:18 |

...correcting myself - the other pic www.williwinsen.de/vorbild/2003_02_11A/img/003.jpg is of ODL10 a Bristol Lodekka LD6G (not an FS as I said) new to Southern Vectis. The Kelly Family also had another rear entrance Lodekka, UOD503, an LD6B ex Western National. SVX277D was an FLF6G owned by the Kellys, this was ex Eastern National, but in 2004 this had a roof, so the one in the movie looks like being different again. I've pulled these IDs from Rob Sly's website about Bristol Lodekkas/VRs etc at http://web.ukonline.co.uk/robsly/ -- Last edit: 2006-10-19 23:46:57 |
