It has the flatter hubcaps, so MY 1966-67. Four- or five bolted, anyone? |

By what is possible to understand of the shape of its door hanndles, I would say 1966 (period French price list refers to it as "Conduite intérieure de luxe"). -- Last edit: 2013-07-09 01:22:31 |

To admin who named this: Are you sure it should be called '1300 De Luxe'? I believe the 1300 (and the 1500) was the 'Conduite intérieure de luxe' (De Luxe Sedan). The cheaper 1200 was 'Conduite intérieure' (Sedan). (From 1968 on 1200/1300/...) The French name used in sales brochures (like for USA) or the original name should be used, as other contemporary French 1300s on this site, not a combination. |

If you look carefully at the price list, you'll see on the left that its model name is VW 1300 (as are named other contemporary French 1300s on the site). The designation "Conduite intérieure de luxe - 7 Cv (moteur 1300)" is a way to differentiate it from the other two available 1300 models. As you suggest, I agree it makes sense to add "Conduite intérieure de luxe" instead of just "De Luxe". |

Let's hope our French frinds agree with us. -- Last edit: 2013-07-09 04:58:25 |

@cris40: To clarify, what I meant was this car, does it have the five or the '67 four bolted wheels, to make it a '66 or a '67. I can not tell. ![]() |

@tore-40: I know. In fact the wheels of the '67+ looked slightly different to the '66 as well, and these are '66. |

Hrrmmphh, last Sunday, at the small Beetle-meeting in our village, there was a 1966-VW with exactly this rims. I even thought "Oh, they were made only for one year", but I didn't made a pic ![]() -- Last edit: 2013-07-09 22:19:26 |
