Early Allegro grilles (Mk1) depended on trim level and do not directly show engine size apart from the result that not all engines were available in all trims. This grille looks like the 4 horizontal bar Deluxe which was offered in 1100 or 1300 - as /vehicle_309329-Austin-Allegro-ADO67-1974.html . Below this was the poverty Standard with vertical bars, also as 1100 or 1300 - ![]() Super (1300 & 1500) and higher trims (various 1500 and 1750) had the hexagonal pattern grille. ![]() All Mk2 Allegro (Oct 75 onwards) trim levels adopted the hexagonal pattern grille, but with increased blackout and a name badge: /vehicle_172623-Austin-Allegro-ADO67-1976.html |
