Good guess, "Junkman", it's a 1951 Cadillac "Series 62" convertible ...but not because of the "cresase in wing [fender] and low wheel arch". Viewed from this angle, ALL Cadillacs from 1948 through 1953 have that fender crease and the same chrome molding above the weel arch. The only real clue to the year in this image is the design of the upholstery on the top and back of the seat back as well as the faint outline of the instrument panel. Cadillacs from 1951-52-53 all have the same basic instrument panel, similar to the one vaguely seen here. 1952 and 1953 may be eliminated on account of the seat upholstery, leaving only 1951. |
