Actually there was no Explorer in 1990. Before Explorer it was Bronco II. So it's a 1991-94 Explorer XLT. |

I wasn’t going for an exact year model, seeing as how it’s hard to tell from this angle… The only reason I wrote 1990 is because car companies like Ford will release a vehicle approximately three to five months ahead of schedule… Some Ford dealerships already have the new 2007 Ford Expeditions where I live, but it’s not 2007 yet. |

They do that with every car. New models are usually introduced in the fall of the previous year. Even if this was built in 1990, it's still a 1991 model. |

The Explorer was released well ahead of the usual October release though. Every year in February, Carguide Magazine publishes a guide to all the cars available that year, and the Explorer was in the '90 issue (for some reason, the Bronco II wasn't). Hardly proof that such a thing as a 1990 Ford Explorer exists, but as I said, it was available very early. |

Yeah, Consumer Reports also has a special issue every spring about new models. I remember at this year's super bowl (in February), they introduced the new Cadillac Escalade by giving the MVP of the winning team one of the first models that rolled off the assembly line. |
