Mmmh… Je propose Aero Willys 2600 (1963). But since it is "considerado o primeiro carro inteiramente concebido e construído no Brasil", and in case it's confirmed that this is an Aero 2600, maybe should we indicate that the origin is Brasilian? (My brand new science is coming frome here: http://www.angelfire.com/wi/willysbr/aero.html ) -- Last edit: 2013-08-15 17:03:46 |

This car is 1965. The first series 2600 was launched in 63, but there was a kind of eyebrow over each headlight. In 64, Willys removed the eyebrow and reduced the lateral strip. Only in 65 the tail lights had the new angle shown here (in 63-64, the tail lights were negative angle) and the lateral strip was again reduced and a new badge (Aero Willys 2600) was added in the rear fender. Location of one photo was the Rio de Janeiro docks where wrongly imported automobiles rested to rust during decades. Typical of very complicated brazillian laws, those cars should be immediatey auctionned, but Brazil is different. You may see one of the electric buses imported to the City state transport company from Alfa Romeo. For sure this was not a king of smuggling, just a case of wrong documents. -- Last edit: 2013-08-15 21:02:39 |

The other 2 photos were taken in Santos Dumont domestic airport. I saw the film and a Boeing 707 was said to land there, but no way to such big planes in Santos Dumont. |
