Elle me fait penser à une que j'avais en Matchbox (ou Lesney). |

Marion? |

Is 'Marion' an American make? (I was wondering: couldn't this be some machine left behind by Anglo-American troops? The action is happening in Provence, not long after the war.) |

To specialists: could this be a Priestman excavator? |

2 simple fancts - cabin on the lkeft side - very distinct chassi, 5 wheels and big gap between 2nd and 3rd so far I didn't find any with that chassis |

Curved metal shape of cabin doesn't seem to fit with anything British pre 1951. |

This German Menck & Hambrock, /vehicle_364116-Menck-and-Hambrock-M60.html was a bit close, no? Not the same but maybe some other model of this make? |

would still devastated France really buy something german by 1950 ??? or you mean perhaps some pre WW2 leftover ? the KEY here is the track chassis 5 wheels and a big gap between 2nd and 3rd -- Last edit: 2014-08-01 18:06:41 |

Nothing British from this time has a rounded rear to cab like this has ( see lightened pics) Could it be American? Crawler wheels still look German to me . -- Last edit: 2014-08-06 17:18:39 |

among a american products who had a curbed roof at rear and cabin on the elft side - Browning /vehicle.php?id=539940 - old LORAIN , I thought this is very likely , problem never saw one with such track chassis Link to "www.bigoldiron.com" - Hanson Link to "www.heavyequipmentforums.com" you are right that the wheel look german design like MENCK problem none had the exact track chassis Link to "www.baumaschinenbilder.de" -- Last edit: 2014-08-06 18:25:33 |

curbed edge could be an early french one like this Pinguely |

All these Bucyrus (made for WWII) have their cabin on the left: http://olive-drab.com/idphoto/id_photos_crawlercrane_ww2.php |
