No, they were not built in Brazil. First cars made in Brazil came in 1956, Romi-Isetta and DKW-Vemag. After them more european origin car such as Volkswagen, Sedan and Kombi, Dauphine, Simca Chambord and Alfa-Romeo 2000. And one US-origin, the Aero-Willys. Only in 1967 Ford started production of Galaxie in Brazil. |

I don't see the double strips on the fenders. But okay, if it's a 1946 Mercury, it has to be a Town Sedan [69M-73]. |

I believe you don't see 2 strips because that is a '41 Mercury, not a '46. |
