They used the Charger for a reason. Because it's a muscle car compared to the Vic.

 Jared from Wrench Every Day channel on Youtube have recently bought a screen used Charger from this movie. Thought i would mention it just in case.

Recap of when this got into the hands of Jared Pink from Wrench Everyday (channel is now called as The Questionable Garage), which he surprisingly rescued it at the time when Freddy "Tavarish" Hernandez bought the Sesto Elemento replica from the same movie...

He bought a blue donor Charger to fix some electronics and some parts. It returned on the road after that, until mother nature happens, a big tree fell into the rear end of the car, destroying the trunk portion. As Tavarish says "Just because the back end of this car is completely annihilated, doesn't mean we can't use this car for something else", and that, inspired by something that both Jared and Freddy always wanted to do for a long time, it was since then converted into a pickup truck with a Hellcat engine.
