The Road Commander II was renamed High Cabover in 1980/81 when Volvo took over the White Motor Company. It seems that it was once again renamed (WH, for White High Cabover) some year later, most probably at the time Volvo bought the GM heavy-duty truck lines? The diagonal bar in the grille indicates indeed a Volvo White truck, and the release date of the movie makes it unlikely that it could be a 1988+ WhiteGMC model. ![]() ![]() (198? // 1987? brochure covers) |
