Isotta Fraschini tipo 8 ASS ( Super Spinto) Sports Tourer by Castagna , 1933. Only 3 of this body type were produced by Castagna, one of them was exhibited at the Paris salon of 1933.As can be seen the doors were cut down in the purest sports car fashion.The body was in fact a dual cowl one with only two doors that released the cowl when opened allowing access to front and rear seats.The engine power was increased to 155 horsepower compared to the 115 of the 8A. I'd say "8A SS" rather than "8ASS" or "8 ASS", as it is the Super Spinto of the 8A from what I understood... |
