 These "black bonnet" GMCs were pretty much the only ambulances used in Melbourne from their introduction in 1996 until the early 2000s. Around 2001 they started to be replaced with Sprinters, but the process was very slow and the GMCs were still in use up until around 2006/2007.

MisterZ do you have any information on whether these conversions were C(2WD) or K(4WD)series?

I was going to begin researching but I figured I'd ask someone who knows more about them first.
