In 'Charge Utile' #201 (septembre 2009), one can read that in 2008 parts of the destroyed cabin have been found near the (now closed) D127, north of Poulx (near Nîmes). Still visible is the SOC logo on the door. Though it is impossible to see wether this is a Brockway, Corbitt or White, the author of the article chooses for Corbitt (50 SD 6) because in the original scenario of the movie this truck was referred to as Corbitt This is stated by a foot-note: Revue de cinéma L'avant-scène, no 17 du 15 juillet 1962. |

Here we have Don Rosa. Comic book writer and movie buff, incorporating the truck in "The Last Lord Of Eldorado". With a similar demise. DUCKtastic! ![]() -- Last edit: 2013-08-15 18:46:43 |

Hello. I was on the place of the wreck of the truck which is a WHITE 666. It remains to this day still the cabin returned. A door of the vehicle may have been taken, I got the one on the driver's side where you can still read "soc". Some other elements must be buried in the ground. |
