RM664 was experimentally left unpainted between 1961 and 1965, and was known as the 'Silver Lady'. |

Liverpool Corporation, London Transport, South Wales Transport and Edinburgh Corporation also took an interest in unpainted buses. Edinburgh Corporation took eleven unpainted lightweight Metro-Cammell Weymann 'Orion' bodied Leyland Titan PD2/20 buses (famously known locally as 'monstrous masses of shivering tin') between 1955 and 1957, though as with all other operators the unpainted finish was found to weather rather quickly. |
