are you kidding? this car deserves 5 stars, if the movie has one main car its the stupid geo Elliot Arnold-"matt wasn't mad at me because of the divorce, he was mad because i bought a Geo" (flashback to the test drive) salesman - "sweet little vehicle, just get divorced?...ah it doesn't matter, 48 miles per gallon, am/fm radio, i'll even throw in the undercoating. anything else you'd like to know?" Matt Arnold-"yeah, how many clowns can it hold?" (later in the movie) jenny-"you have a geo? a metro, the LDA coupe or the hatchback? My biological father sells them in tulsa, and if the salesman tried to pitch you on free undercoating it's total bullshit they fall apart before they rust. 60% of the car is made from recycled plastic soda bottles" |

Just for that it does not justify the 5 stars |

Five stars is a rating that should only be given to famous and iconic cars, eg. the DeLorean from Back to the Future, the ECTO-1 1959 Cadillac Amubulance from Ghostbusters or vehicles that are the subject of the movie, eg. The World's Fastest Indian, or are used so extensively that there would be no story without them, eg. the BMW bikes that Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman ride around the world in Long Way Round. |

After having seen the movie, I'd give it 4 stars instead of 3 as it is indeed quite used and mentionned in the movie, but 5 stars would be too much I think. One more quote: - Why'd your dad buy a Geo? - He thinks he's a loser, so he bought a loser car ![]() ![]() -- Last edit: 2007-07-21 18:06:02 |
