I thouroughly believe this is a 1979-84 Lahden Autokori "Lahti 30" or "Lahti 31" as the 32 is too short and 33 is too high. I pressume either 30 or 31 is a city bus and the other is a coach (depending on one or two entrance doors on the right hand side). Here is an interesting page http://bussidata.kuvat.fi/#/kuvat/0+Korit/Lahden+Autokori/ . If it doesnt work try http://bussidata.kuvat.fi/#/kuvat/0+Korit/Wiima/ and then klick on "Korimallikuvasto" and then on "Lahden Autokori". |

After some further investigations, it seems the "30" indeed is a city bus and the "31" is a coach. One thourough page explaining Lahden Autokori at http://www.kooen202.com/11 is also listning chassies at http://www.kooen202.com/15 available at the time which, apparently, were B86, B111, B110, BF86S, BF80, BF111, BF110, BF111S, BR86S, BR85S, BR116S, BR145 and CR/BR111. If I remember this correctly, BF means engine at front (Bus with engine at Front)) and BR engine at rear (Bus with engine at Rear). Futher thoughts are the V8 BR145 was rather uncommon at the time (had a reputation to catch fire...) and the small 8-litre 80-series rather short on power making the 110 and 111 11-litre engine the most common. I believe this is a 1979-84 Scania BF110 or BF111 with a Lahden Autokori "Lahti 31" body. -- Last edit: 2014-01-08 21:24:19 |

Also pctures here http://www.bussivarikko.net/kuvia/lahti/ . If fitted with rear engine it should have had slots here /vehicle_659864-SAAB-9000-CD.html (for engine cooling). |
