Footage from a 1967 film 'Watch the Birdie' (not apparently on imcdb or imdb - so no clue to what's going on with the nuns, but Ken Russell directed it and he could be a few sandwiches short of a picnic with some of his films). 6943 MH was apparently a film plate - true ID was 6943 MM and the car survives in US - http://www.sebringsprite.com/6943mm.html . Whichever the true plate (nothing on check sites) both MH and MM were 61-62 Middlesex series. |

'Watch the Birdie' info suggests it was a 1963 film (not 1967) and was shot in B&W as an episode of the BBC 'Monitor' TV series. Includes footage "...of the lives of the Little Sisters of the Assumption, a Notting Hill convent of nuns who specialise in nursing ....". |
