Good question. I think that it can be considered as a normal heavy truck. Or armoured military vehicle? |

Looks like being from the Russian family of MAZ rocket launchers. Type to be determined. |

MAZ was correct, but I still am looking for the correct type name for this "TEL" (transporter/erector/launcher) truck. It housed/houses an RT-2PM "Topol" nuclear missile, also known by the NATO designation SS-25 "Sickle". The other manufacturers' name you 'll find in the web is MZKT. The base vehicle is, I am fairly certain, a MAZ 7917 (МАЗ-7917). http://denisovets.narod.ru/maz/mazpages/maz7917.html -- Last edit: 2006-11-20 11:48:03 |

I like it! Would be the thing to have for Paris-Dakar with a three bedroom bungalow with sauna, swimming pool and cocktail bar on the back, no? |

Nice idea! But you would need this XXXL-jerry-can ... http://classytrucks.usa-hero.com/WesternStar/westernstar.2006.roadtrain.jpg |
