any ideas JCB ? cos I don't have any cab on left side means pretty much no NCK Rapier and don't think Ruston Bucyrus either perhaps a Preistman or COLES ? any othe rbritsh producers or perhaps even an import ? |

I don't know , cab shape doesn't seem to match anything Britsih , Maybe a Smith, but hard to find pics of them. -- Last edit: 2014-02-18 08:12:55 |

There are some similarities to the Smith 21 which is the only one with flat tracks as opposed to raised in the centre . |

![]() ![]() JCB you rule !!!! very obscure maker !!! and strangely regarding Marion you hardly find anything of them on the WWW except for their giant huge draglines... -- Last edit: 2014-02-18 15:42:57 |

I have never heard of 'Babcock Marion' cranes before . We were sort of both right with the import / British thing as bit of both . Without the 47 MB clue would never have got it ![]() -- Last edit: 2014-02-18 16:33:33 |

Indeed , it would have landed on the Forever Unknown list .. like some construction vehicles surely will never be ID JCB you think this may be British ? cos Honk Kong was a british colony and many stuff in such movies was britsh or pehaps Japanese/ American ? has quite a distinct track chassis /vehicle_355600.html |

No Japanese / Asian, not many of this size excavator made in Britain. Hymac etc all went bust before smaller excavators became so popular . |
