This car was bought be the current owners father in 1939. They lived in the Dutch Indies (nowadays Indonesia) and were to visit Holland in 1939. The Opel was built in Belgium and delivered in The Hague, Summer 1939. Because of the war thread, the family stayed in Holland. In May 1940 the car survived the German bombs on Rotterdam. Then it was stored and hidden in The Hague, but because of the building of the Atlantikwall the nazis tore down all houses near the beach and the car was hidden in this area. Just in time they managed to get the car to another shelter (during Sperrzeit...), and in March 1945 the car once again survived a bombing attack, this time by the British.
Originally the car was RHD (because in the Dutch Indies traffic was on the right, and the car was planned to be taken back home after the visit to Holland). In 1950 another family planned to leave Holland to go to Australia. They also had a 1939 Super Six Kapitän, a Cabriolet. But they could take their car with them only if it had RHD. So they decied to exchange the steering, and that's why this car is LHD today.

Very interesting story :) But why "made for NL" then? Not "made for "Dutch Indies"?

Yes, that's a good question. I hesitated, because as far as I know all cars sold to the Dutch Indies had to match Dutch legislation (although the RHD was common in the Indies and LHD in Holland). And the car was sold new in The Hague, even though it was meant to leave the country one year later.
May it's better to leave teh 'Made for' field open.

The location of the selling is not important, only the determined destination. Think about the many US-spec cars, which were purchased by Americans directly at the factory as /vehicle.php?id=15566 for example.

For the time being...
At least we can see the Opel. And in the link in my second comment several nice pictures of this car can be seen.
