Despite the plate saying that this is a 1995 Falcon, it's actually a Fairmont. On EF Falcon wagons (GLi and Futura), the trim around the license plate was grey, not painted. (The NSW RTA most likely doesn't distinguish between Falcons and Fairmonts for registration purposes) -- Last edit: 2015-05-11 23:13:07 |

Or maybe it is a Falcon which was repaired with a part coming from a Fairmont? (or wrongly repainted after repair) -- Last edit: 2015-05-11 17:03:08 |

Unlikely. This vehicle also has the painted side mirrors and trim which was only found on Falcon Futura and Fairmont, but not base model GLis. The RTA in NSW most likely just consider Fairmont to be a trim level of Falcon, despite Ford insisting it's a separate nameplate. -- Last edit: 2018-10-16 22:32:02 |
