Can we tell an SM 11 from an SL 11 from this view? |

as SL 11 has no rear doors and triple mid doors http://www.motorstown.com/imgs/58698-karosa-sl-11-5.html on an Airport they will prefer variante with more doors, and can't find SL 11 in red livery on this site /vehicle_439870-Karosa-SM-11-Typ-1630-1974.html the middoor looks like beeing quatriple, but hope for Weasel1984 can tell. -- Last edit: 2014-03-06 22:03:03 |

I agree that SM11 with less seats and 3 doors (there were also 2-door ones, but they didn't have middle doors) would be more logical in such role and it is perhaps the strongest reason to list it this way with this pic. ![]() Indeed these colors were mostly typical for the citybuses in Czechoslovakia, but there were also rare exceptions even there, so abroad this scheme don't have to be valid. SM 11 had a handrail in the right part of the rear window, which unfortunately isn't visible here. For the SM11 it is a bit later type - it already has the flat sides, but still old fenders = 1969-72/73 type 1615 or 1620. |
