 Did some digging re LAFD history and found this page - http://www.lafire.com/fire_apparatus/apparatus-index.htm - though still not sure if the #83 on this unit is its individual number or the number of the firehouse it works from, but #83 in the link is a 1984 Seagrave Model HB50CH triple combination pumper. Seems LAFD has quite a big fleet of these. I guess some time spent on this link might solve the identities of a number of LAFD units on this site.
