This is a 1978 (only) Volvo 244. Most probably DL spec, as GL were usually painted in metallic and L were not that common. 1978 only because of black and round rear mirrors (s/s up until 1977) and a chrome strip inside the indicators. Until 1977 the chrome strip went on the hood/bonnet, outside the indicators and beneath the grill. This one has had the grill changed to an earlier one. It still has the round head lights and not the square ones of the 1979 MY, and the 1978+ bumper without the paint behind the number plate. |
