Not sure which series this is, I'll have to do a bit of detective work. |

Might be 2 cars. Burning one looks S3 bumpers and rear lights, burnt one (4th thumb) has S1/S2 pillars. And I'm not sure whether door-open car in 1st thumb is even an XJ. |

A few more pics: I think it's a Series II that's been dressed up a little to look like a newer Series III. It is. -- Last edit: 2014-03-21 23:56:10 |

The 2nd thumb in your first batch is the critical one - what do you think of the pillars there - S2 or S3?? It won't .... um ... blow up clearly enough on my screen. |

First of all an older S2 would have been cheaper to destroy and the car in the 1st thumb is not an S3 because it's got a front door window divider (why would they show an S2 then blow up a newer S3?) Also if you look carefully at the rear bumper/exhaust pipe area you can tell it's not an S3. -- Last edit: 2014-03-22 00:09:55 |

OK by me - I follow your argument. I'd guess the argument could be extendable further to say they they might have blown up a dressed-up S1 clunker as even cheaper, but door-open pic shows tints and fixed quarterlights (I think S1 opened). |

The boot plinth is much chunkier than an S1's, I can tell it's got the S2 one. -- Last edit: 2014-03-22 00:37:53 |
