It demonstrates what an excellent vehicle Bedford made, especially for the price, and what a great shame it was to lose them as a manufacturer. The first generation Saxons used the Bedford 500 diesel engine, and Bedford had been providing "soldier-proof" kit since WW2. |

I think we identify TJ-series as J*. The film is set in West Africa, but the only overseas assembly of J6s was in India (Hindustan Motors, briefly); they were distributed in Australia (GM Holden). Probably UK. -- Last edit: 2014-03-23 21:04:46 |

The T stands for "Truck" (TJ TK etc) but it seems to be the convention on this site to call these just "J". Ford went one better, or worse, ET being English Truck. |
