A student at the junior college had one of these; this was '63 or '64. He probably got it for song back then. Classic lines, still looks great, easily Kaiser's sexiest creation. Fiberglas body w/supercharged 6 made for a .0434 power-to-weight ratio -- awesome then, still strong today. -- Last edit: 2014-03-27 16:42:28 |

Very interesting and weird scene of the movie. It's part of a brief 'cruising' moment. |

Jean-Pierre Mocky is fond of cars, vehices generally speaking (and women too). This Les drageurs is his first official movie as a director. But he is said to have largely directed Franju's La tête contre les murs in which Mocky also had the leading male part. And, guess what? /vehicle_243774-Kaiser-Darrin-161-1954.html -- Last edit: 2014-03-27 19:53:45 |

Quote from previous post "Fiberglas body w/supercharged 6 made for a .0434 power-to-weight ratio -- awesome then, still strong today." The Darrin was never available with a supercharger. The '54/'55 Kaiser Manhattans had it but the Darrin never did. |
