The Cork assembly line closed in '85, and I'm not sure if they ever assembled Sierras there - it's quite possible they never acquired the tooling for them. The only film footage of the plant I have seen was shown assembling Mk. III Escorts. Anyway, that Sierra could not have been assembled in Cork as it is a post-1987 facelift version (note the front lights). |
