Plaxton body, but very difficult to tell the chassis |

Had hypotized a Bedford VAS chassis |

Too long for a VAS - if we could just get the registration..... |

Looks like a pre-'87 number plate, so you wouldn't be able to get the year from it anyway (unless you knew when other vehicles with very similar plates where registered). |

Thye passenger door is behind the front wheel. which would indicate an engine over the front axle. I would go with a VAS/PJK chassis |

Surely about the right length for a VAS/PJK? Where Bedfords are concerned, I'm siding with Mr BG - he knows these things! -- Last edit: 2007-05-29 13:55:13 |

This is Bedford VAS with Plaxton Supreme IV bodywork |

Now I've seen the footage, I agree, it's a VAS. Not the same coach, but compare http://wakefield-files.freehostia.com/jdy888y.htm No nearer to an identification, other than to observe it's the episode 'Going to America' - which is ep 3.08, the last made |

Question de bonne volonté!!!!!!!!!!! |

Plate looks like HZV 862 which comes up on check site as Bedford without further info. Also this ebay photo![]() "Ulsterbus Tours Plaxton Volvo Reg No. KXI 600 with ECC 770E & HZV 862". Over to the bus list checkers .... |

Only Cartell.ie returned with 'Bedford unknown', and no data that I could find on Bus Lists on the Web or the PSV Circle. At least we have a starting point! |

Ulsterbus Tours No. 600 (KXI 600) was a Volvo B9M Plaxton which was employed initially on private tours of the Republic for Dutch Airline NLM (a subsidiary of KLM). |
