not original, as the rims and the doors with the plastic panels are from the 1985+ version. But due the short bumper it's clearly an early version. Maybe a former Bundespost-car, but a similar yellow (not the exact tone, still today the Deutsche Post has the only right to use it. No paint-company is allowd to mix this colour for non-Post-usage ![]() -- Last edit: 2014-04-02 23:01:51 |

Yes, I haven't met one in about 15 years, I think. -- Last edit: 2014-04-02 23:02:10 |

There was just for 1981 a similar yellow for the normal cars. I still remember the very first one I met in my life that had German plate, was a standard trim with 5 doors (sedan) in a quite similar Yellow (Limagelb ?). |

But there are still that many existing (also for the reason, that the rust protection was much better than for the previous Passats), and there is an active fan-scene, it definitely doesn't belong to the discussion, mentioned here: /vehicle.php?id=690001 In 2004 I gave my 32B-Passat, a 1987 Variant GT (one of the very last original GT-versions) away for free, after a breakdown due a torn cambelt. The Passat Club-fellows, who helped me before with parts and repairs, picked it up. The joke is, that it shall have survived, as one of them told me last year ![]() |
