Conestoga wagon but can't tell from angle if Champion or Commander version. Regal trim per just visible side spear. 1955, of course. And a mid-season Ultra Vista model owing to the wrapped windshield. Note incorrectly painted-over chrome on front. -- Last edit: 2014-04-10 14:52:43 |

Thanks to Dave's additional photo, this can now be identified as a Champion. Champion Regal Conestogas had the "Studebaker" nameplate close up under the belt trim beneath the 2nd side window. Commander Regal and Deluxe Conestogas had the "Commander" nameplate several inches lower on the side. (Champion Deluxe Conestogas had no side nameplates at all.) Note from the thumbnail that the Conestoga nameplate is missing from the tailgate. It should be written diagonally on the right side. -- Last edit: 2014-04-10 14:51:45 |

Studebaker in OZ For 1955 Studebaker slapped on the chrome to hide what had been a clean design and of course, inline with then current desires, sales not upwards in America and by med year a re-styling to incorporates a wrap around windscreen was done for the sedan line. Sales in Australia were 108 including 95 cars and 13 station wagons |
