isn't this a FORD with after marked cab ? cab looks way too improvised to be a factory one and that very distinct air filer right at the front http://www.au.all.biz/img/au/catalog/37529.jpeg -- Last edit: 2014-04-16 19:06:34 |

1964-68 series, from the size, I'd say Major 4000. |

Ford 7000. Major was a Fordson, not a Ford. |

or maybe this is a Fordson ? cos I imagine Australia had close trading ties with UK ? |

For a time, there were two separate divisions, Fordson in England, and Ford in the USA. In 1964, the two branches were merged and the Fordson name was dropped. Link to "www.tractordata.com" There's no Ford Major. Link to "www.tractordata.com" |

Ford 7000, I guess. Has big air cleaner. Bigger than 5000 and 6000. Smaller than 8000. Older than 7600. |

Ford 7000 was not released until 1971. This tractor has a pre-1968 hood style. However it does have dual fuel filters and the larger cast rear wheel centers. It's a Ford 5000. |

This scene was filmed at the intersection of Exford Road and Greigs Road at Exford, Victoria where the two road bridges are. This intersection was featured in the original 1979 film, Mad Max. Link: Link to "www.google.com.au" -- Last edit: 2024-05-24 09:57:51 |
