A made-for-the-movies prop, I'm pretty sure, not a real Kawasaki police bike! Might be based on a KZ900 or KZ1000, though. Look at the bike and remember the title of the movie. It has the word "Comedy" in it (whether or not that movie is really funny, I don't know!). An early Police Kawasaki, KZ900C2 (1976): http://www.kawasakiz1.com/Kawasaki-KZ900C2-Police-Motorcycle.html A later KZ1000C2 (1978-81): http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q141/Grandevox/DSC00007.jpg and http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q141/Grandevox/DSC00012.jpg The clear lights on each side of the headlight should be red and blue but since this is a privately owned motorcycle and not a police bike anymore, the owner had to make that change AND remove the police ID from the tank. Yes, they had TWO (very large!) speedometers! http://i135.photobucket.com/albums/q141/Grandevox/DSC00013.jpg "Yes sir, you were doing 67mph in a 55mph zone. Look for yourself at the speedo". The most common Police Kawasaki, KZ1000P (1982-2005): Link to "upload.wikimedia.org" -- Last edit: 2014-06-17 07:09:50 |
