One beige in the studio scenes and another gold metallic filmed in Amsterdam traffic followed by a Vauxhall Velox or Cresta respectively. [/url] -- Last edit: 2006-11-27 19:48:22 |

I believe the UK / studio Bel Air has a Chevrolet name "Cameo Beige", while the one filmed by a second unit is "Sierra Tan". This is my absolutely favorite television show, and I remember this, as well as the episode "To Kill a Saint" had two obviously different vehicles at the Elstree Studios, and in the other episode on the streets of Central Paris. That one had a white Citroen DS19 at Elstree, and a yellow one filmed by the second unit. I think the second unit was done by a company called "World Backgrounds". Honestly, the continuity was good enough for me. It is impressive that the got the make, model and year matched exactly, while the color was slightly different. I was just looking at the last photo of the tan Bel Air in Amsterdam passing the Citroen 2CV, and on the opposite side of the street, parked behind what may be a red DAF (not sure!) is what looks to be a black 1961 or 1962 Chrysler (the one with the canted stacked headlamps). The Saint had everything you wanted: fun travel, cool retro cars of the period from all countries, cute sexy girls, and the charm, class, and humor of Roger Moore! Absolutely fantastic stuff!!!! |

There was a book that was made in the 1970's that had a beige 1965 or 1966 Chevy Sedan just like this one, on the cover of the book, does anyone known the name of the book, I think it was about kidnapping? I saw the book at Goodwill but didn't have money to for it. I not much of a reader, but is there an IMCDB for books, something like IBCDB? |
