The vehicle is RHD so I'm assuming this footage is from the 1990 Melbourne Motor Show, which was held at the Royal Exhibition Building in Carlton back in those days. Note: the wheels are non-standard, and the mirrors on actual showroom cars were black, not painted. Went on sale July 1990, but was discontinued at the end of 1991 (leftover stock was sold in 1992), probably partly due to the 1991 recession. However, 362 final models were imported in 1993. In total, fewer than 1,000 of these were sold in Australia, making them very rare. 1990 price was A$34,950 (US$23,400). -- Last edit: 2020-02-13 19:34:08
